Taking a dinner with the whole family in Nieblum is a real challenge in the season. The gastronomic offer is very manageable, there is no more slaughter and weaving room. We really liked the Lohdeel. There was a big plus point when the children immediately got paint pencils and were allowed to paint the whole tablecloth (from paper!). There's a little rest right away. The ambience is maritim rustic. With all kinds of coastal and seafaring destinations that make the room cozy. The food was just as rustic, we ordered the fish pan (19.50 EUR pp for two people, which would have been almost enough for three. And delicious supplements, it's all good. Service good and fast.

Unfortunately we were not satisfied this time in Lohdeel. A few years ago we were more often in the Lohdeel and always satisfied. The plaice was very dry and the lamb haxe made the impression not to be fresh. After that we learned that the host has changed since our last visit. The Lohdeel is a very nice location and I very much hope that the quality of the food will be better again and therefore also justify the upscale prices.
Oh, man! That was a great restaurant. But now seems to be resting on the call. Unfriendly, uncommunicative, subcooled service. If it were my employee, I'd have thrown him out. 40 minutes waiting time for 2 average dishes and once children's owls with ready-made sauce from the glass is not possible. If you can't handle so many tables and dishes you should reduce. 50€ discounted under experience....Even more. :
For me it is a must to visit the Lohdeel when you are on the island of Föhr. A very primitive, maritim one-course restaurant, which leaves the seafarer romanticism a little alive. There, good food is associated with passion, which is clearly felt, be it the kindness of staff or the quality of food. My favourite is the cutter cholle, also the Labskaus is a pleasure. All in all thumbs up!
Well, the atmosphere has changed quite positively in recent years. A really nice atmosphere, the operation is very friendly but partly overwhelmed. The food is rather high-priced and qualitative only partly appropriate. My favorite restaurant in Nieblum is not.
