Living in Toronto where there are 2 distinct and vibrant Chinatowns, my husband and I have eaten our fair share of Chinese cuisine our 5+ decades. Lots of it. We've done dine in, takeout, delivery, buffet - you name it, we've had it. And different styles including dim sum, Szechuan, Cantonese, Hakka, etc.We were hesitant to eat Chinese in this city but decided to try it anyway based on reviews. The food at his place was SO bland and the same vegetables were repeatedly used in all the dishes we ordered. All the veggies were limp and lifeless. No crunch whatsoever. The ginger beef, supposedly a specialty, was pathetic. There were ZERO pieces of identifiable real ginger. The sauce did not cling...
I love their food. Delicious and good value. We sometimes get huge orders for my entire staff and they are kind enough to open an hour early to make sure we get our food on time.However the last two times I have been there I was not impressed with their chicken balls. They were obviously re deep-fried a couple times, which lead me to wonder how old they actually were...I did not complain about it though because of the language barrier. However one of the younger guys speaks very good English, I hope he reads my review and passes it along to the cooks.Also keep in mind that this restaurant is CASH ONLY.
A VERY rude man took my phone call today. I tried to place an order but he would not take my order for lemon chicken and rice. He kept saying chicken ball, I said no just lemon chicken and rice. I eventually hung up because he was rude and would say no to my order and insisting on the chicken ball. My brother inlaw wanted their Chinese food so he ordered and what a disappointment!!!!! Never going back there again, there are much better Chinese restaurants around. The food was horrible and ended up in the garbage. Stay away!!!!
It's definitely best prices and best value for chinese in the city. Food is always fresh. I have see. A few reviews on rudeness but I feel that's more language barrier. The son of owners is quite pleasant and very fluent in English. But I never experience anything terrible. It is cash only but you know that ahead a time it's not a big deal and they will give you total of order when you call

The food is great, as long as you can get it; they're constantly changing their schedule without changing it on their menu. The last four times I called for take out for lunch, I wasn't able to get it because they weren't open. They need a few refresher courses in business management.
I have been going to Loong Wah for almost 30 years; it never changes which is a great thing because the food is always totally excellent! The only downfall is if they would update their dining room then we could sit and eat. They do have a dining room but it's like going into Ches's.
We order our Chinese food from here all the time. I have been to other places and this place by far, has the best Chinese in town! It is a strictly a take out place and as another person metioned, they only take cash, but the Chinese is fantastic.
The service was quick and friendly. Ordered a simple Combination Platter and the chicken balls, as well as the soo guy, were great. The gravy was nice. The rice, however, was really dry. A huge selling point for me is that they never use MSG.

If you want a good feed of Chinese food, this place is good. Never had eat in....always had take out and it didn't disappoint. As i said, it's worth the visit if you are in that part of town.
We do a bi-annual take out from this restaurant and the food is outstanding! The best we have ever had! I would recommend for sure!
