I had breakfast and dinner in this restaurant during my stay in the castle and both were wonderful. the breakfast I chose the buffet option, the homemade yogurt was the absolute best! the brote and baked were also wonderful. for dinner...you could choose a more formal menu or more casual items. that was a little confusing, but also very practical. my mother and I have enjoyed our meal very well and the service was excellent. for a starter I ordered the perfect egg and it was a perfect egg surrounded by mushrooms that are not my favourite, but the egg itself was divine. I'm trying to remember exactly what I ordered, but I remember everything was excellent.
Nous sommes allés au restaurant du domaine pour les 50 ans de mariage de mes grands-parents. Les plats étaient tout simplement insipides : des bouts de poisson à peine réchauffé, du poulpe trop cuit, une purée recuite (on pouvait voir une pellicule sèche dessus) et un gâteau médiocre. Pour exemple : le suprême de poulet fermier , ce n'était tout simplement que quelques blancs de poulet avec une purée de pomme de terre, quelle arnaque !Le cadre vaut le coup, mais les plats sont horribles, n'y mettez pas les pieds !!!

Durante il nostro viaggio tra i castelli della Loira, ho avuto il piacere di fare una breve sosta presso questo ristorante. Come consigliatoci dalla cameriera abbiamo preso pizza e bruschetta. Stayed 3 nights in the Chateau and had dinner here twice. Incredible both nights. Posted first dinner review under the Domaine de la Tortiniere hotel. Second night as good as the first. Service was impeccable and the chef's attention to detail was noticeable. We highly recommend the restaurant and the Chateau as a place to stay.
Yes it's expensive but the quality is definitely there. If you are staying at Domaine de la Tortiniere you will need to drive to go anywhere else. If you are staying you should also expect it to be expensive, but we enjoyed every meal we ate here.
