Loreleyblick - Table reservation

One true gauge of how one feels about a meal in a restaurant is expectation plus experience (either positive or negative). If low expectations are exceeded by far, a happy dining experience results. On the other hand, if high expectation are not met, dissatisfaction reigns. Our lunch at Loreleyblick belonged in that first category.As its name indicates, (Loreley View) the location of the restaurant is perfect for a great view of the fabled cliffs immortalized by Heinrich Heine's poem and the popular folk song. A cut above the typical local German gasthaus restaurant in terms of quality and presentation. Outside or inside seating, either of which offer unobstructed views across the Rhine to the Loreley cliff. I personally prefer other views of vineyards and castles, but if you want to watch river traffic navigate around the Loreley and enjoy a good lunch, this is a great option.

Traveled there in the asparagus season (April - May) and the food was just great. The restaurant was clean, food very good, service friendly and helpful and parking easy,

Really enjoyed sitting outside watching the river as we ate. The food was typical German and good. Good beer & wine also. Right across the Rhine from the Lorelei rock.

We've been just opposite of the mountain and I think it's better then climb a the way out and it was so romantic. Enjoy your time there =)
