What a great find during our recent theatre visit. We visited at 7:30pm to miss the pre theatre rush and this was perfectly timed (as they were apparently fully booked before that). My wife and I chose 3 tapas each, along with a plate of bread to “mop up” the residual sauces. This was plenty, and honestly we could probably have done with 5 between us. I have a good appetite but still couldn’t face a sweet! Whilst we were there, another customer had the paella (comes with a choice of ingredients so you can eat what you’d rather), and it looked lovely. We tried to make a reservation but were informed that the restaurant was fully booked for Saturday evening. We mentioned we weren't interested in the pre-meal show and were advised to stop by around 8/8:30 pm to see if they could accommodate us. After having a few drinks elsewhere, we decided to give it a try. The bartender recognized us and mentioned she had lost our contact information but still managed to find us a table. Would probably give this 3 1/2 out of 5. Used to come here quite often but this is my first visit in around 10 years. Plus points, service very good and friendly, we went for tapas, food very nice, good size and varied. Wine came with actual ice in the bucket with I think is always a must. Down side is that all the tables were bare and had a cold feel to the place. Some candles on each table or flower decor was needed. Lastly and I know this is an old building, but you open the main door and you are hit by this strong smell of damp. I would not have chosen this place to eat due to the fact there are no vegan meals at all. The manager did kindly phone me to take me through the menu however suggestions that I could have some of the dishes with 3 or 4 main ingredients removed were not what I wanted to hear! Plymouth has 3 excellent vegan restaurants so there are obviously enough people who want to eat tasty and well cooked vegan meals to make it worth their while whereas this restaurant can’t even seem to provide vegan cheese to replace regular cheese for Nachos. We went to Lorenzos for our office Christmas party and had a fantastic experience. The front of house staff were very accommodating, provided excellent service, and helped make our night even better. The food was delicious and arrived promptly. The cocktails were also delicious and it was refreshing to see unique options on the menu. Overall, Lorenzos was the perfect setting for a staff party and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and relaxed atmosphere for their team to enjoy.
Perfect spot for a pre theatre meal. Small restaurant and not all tables are practical as one or two are far too close to squeeze into. However, the small intimate setting adds to the atmosphere. The cafe/restaurant does cafe style food and treats through to dinner. Tapas is excellent and huge portions. Quite a few things off menu when we went which was a shame but what we had was very good. Recommended. The loos need a revamp.
I booked online and confirmed via messenger, however we weren’t on the list so struggled to get a table despite there being only one table occupied when we arrived at 5pm. To get a table we had to show proof that we had received confirmation of our booking so not the best welcome. However, the food was good although the albondigas could have been hotter. We ate here before going to the panto at The Theatre literally across the road. We had great service nothing was too much trouble. We ordered the tapas which was delicious and had good portion sizes so we probably over ordered. Great atmosphere and I have booked to go again loved it!

We had a last-minute pre-theatre lunch reservation and it was my first time visiting this restaurant. I'm happy we chose it because we discovered a great spot with delicious tapas and excellent service. We will definitely be booking again in the future!
