Decent food, nice piano music, but the atmosphere of a diner : Visited Lorenzo's with my wife on 02/16/24 for a romantic dinner with live piano music. Unfortunately, the visit turned out to be a great disappointment : It's very sad as we planned this for a while and the place indeed had all the potential to live to the expectations. But it didn't : The food was decent; service was excellent and flawless; piano music was great, the guy played non stop for 1.5h! However, there were two big tables which got occupied with large families shortly after we came. One was just next us with about 8 people and the other was one table away with about 15 people including children and even babies. Very so...
We visited Lorenzo to celebrate our anniversary. While the ambiance is lovely, spacious, and elegant, unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations. The French onion soup was so thick that it felt more like drinking gravy than enjoying a soup. The clam appetizer had a strong wine flavor, as if the alcohol hadn’t cooked off properly, resulting in a bitter and unappetizing taste. The pappardelle was very bland, and the sauce was mild, while the pasta was slightly overcooked, which only added to our disappointment. It had been a lovely evening, until the check came. We were splitting the bill among three of us. Afterwards, the server came back to apologize, explaining that he had only run one of the three cards and not the other two. Two of us provided our cards to run again. Next day, I discovered that my card had, in fact, been charged twice. When I called to have it resolved, I was initially told that the confusion was due to the fact that they don 't usually split bills and that they had done it as a courtesy . (What year is this? Respectable menu variety but not worth the trip if you 're not staying at the Hilton. It 's a 3-star restaurant presented as if it 's a 5-star restaurant, inside a 3-star hotel. There 's really nothing to hate here, aside from the person who designed chairs with wavy back slats. The basil encrusted salmon came out like my food did the first time I tried to encrust something, with an overcooked protein and gooey yet grainy crust. Breakfast is totally respectable for $17 at a 3-star hotel. There is just no way this can be the #1 Restaurant on Staten Island, as proclaimed.

They really make the effort to provide excellent service. And it is convenient, good quality, and probably the only game in town oi Staten Island. I like this place very much, not superb food but some things are really good. #1 Service! #2 Value, #3 Convenience. If you are in Staten Island and looking for a great experience for food and service, I recommend Lorenzo's. Food is overall good, depends on what you order. Large portions, great salad and salmon is not overcooked. Plenty of ambiance as well.
I had lunch here with my wife earlier today, and we really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is lovely, and the waitstaff was very attentive—Ozzi, in particular, provided excellent service. We ordered two lunch specials: lentil soup, chicken Marsala, and penne alla vodka, and we finished off with some junior cheesecake for dessert. We had no complaints at all; everything was fantastic!
Had dinner at the bar watching the Super Bowl.. Started with Calamari which was good but not one tentacular, followed by Rigatoni with bolognese sauce was tasty but pasta was overcooked and sauce could have had more meat in it Husband had, what he said was a very tasty,juicy burger. My wife and I came here for brunch the day after her birthday. Excellent, polite service. Beautiful serve yourself appetizer bar. Our entrees; my wife had crab eggs Benedict, I had chicken and waffles with a peach and blueberry infused maple syrup. Both were delicious. Next time we return to Staten Island, we'll visit again.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The service was excellent, the prices were reasonable, and I loved the happy hour specials. The homemade soup was delicious, and the shrimp and pasta dish was outstanding. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning!
Came here again for date night with the hubby and of course I had my fav chicken martini (previously I called it margarita chicken) sorry lol
