Sat waiting 15 mins before any staff member even acknowledged our table, finally flagged someone down asked for a bottle of water and prawn crackers, our table of 6 ordered, 4 ordered banquet and 2 ordered off menu and extra spring rolls, these extra spring rolls were told they were part of the banquet so got eaten and staff got very upset when questioned where the extra spring rolls were, food was quite bland, prices were reasonable, would not go here again due to service issues and average food
The dishes were average and the meat in our sizzling steak dish was meant to be sizzling fillet steak and it felt like untextured and gelatinous slop. I am not really sure how to really describe it but didn't taste or feel like normal meat. I presume it has been over brined for a long time to make it tender.We didn't enjoy it and we left most of it. We have had better experiences in the past here but not somewhere I will be returning to unfortunately.
What has happened to our local Chinese restaurant? It has been so hit and miss lately. Last night was the worse. Ordered Crispy Skin Chicken with bones and got chicken in fried batter. Not edible and as for the King Prawn Fried Rice……very few NOT king prawns in some rice. Most disappointed!
I recently had lunch in this restaurant with a group of people, the food was great as was the service. Friendly and courteous staff. Will come back soon, hopefully today.
