Vs NYC, I'd rate it a 6.5 for Chicago I'll give it an 8.5 ... It was definitely enjoyable but I feel Chicago needs to change it's dough if it truly wants to ever compete with NYC. The cracker crust that Chicago loves was done in a way that was at least enjoyable on this pie, most places have dry gold fish cracker crust, this pie was enjoyable. Would I get it again? Unless a genuine Brooklyn spot moves into town, yes I would. The price was reasonable too. I will say this, the sauce was a top 5 for me and that's including vs NYC sauces , it was salty, had bold tomato taste, and was unique.
Ordered a medium thin crust cheese and sausage with extra sauce if delivered it's uncut so the cheese won't slide,you must request it to be cut all ingredients fresh and made inhouse including the sausage handicap accessible drive up and go spot small parking area in the mall a lot of maneuvering to get in and out of the parking lot. Small cozy indoor dinning area a little costly $23.00 for that medium otherwise the service is the best I've had since the pandemic.
This is a delivery order. My cousins, who order frequently, raved about this location, so visiting from Chicago, decided to try it and treat them for dinner. I was truly disappointed in the deep dish pizza. The crust was burnt, there was nothing deep dish about this pizza. The delivery person, third party vendor, messed up and instead of calling like their delivery people, walked right into the house, and an argument ensued.
Avoid Wicker Park location! Was very watery with no flavor. Ordered classic deep dish and the Lou deep dish. Tastes like a frozen pizza that was thrown in the oven. Crust was very mushy and I can 't stress enough how it tasted just like water. Also, it 's carry out only. Only go to the Michigan Ave location.

This used to be my go to spot until I ordered a thin crust recently. when I got the pie it was completely undercooked and the dough in the center was soggy. The cheese on top tasted super plasticy, overall it had no flavor. It tasted like a frozen home run in pizza taken out of the over 8 minutes too early.
Great place! Just be aware this location is take out only. Love the food but don't expect to dine-in. Go to other locations for that. They are very nice and make tasty pizza!
