As for the food, I would rate it three stars. It seems like you’re definitely paying for the view rather than the quality of the dishes. The octopus salad appetizer was nice, with tender octopus that wasn’t chewy. However, the seafood tower for two felt a bit underwhelming. At $40, it seemed overpriced for what we received—just one oyster, one clam, one shrimp, and half a lobster per person. The seared scallops were delicious and had a lovely ocean flavor. All I have to say is WOW! I made a reservation after hearing about the new chef here. I am very familiar with his past restaurants and had high expectations for this visit and I cannot find one reason not to make this one of your go to restaurants for any occasion! The service was amazing! Usually it is very difficult to find great service at waterfront restaurants but the servers seems very well trained and knowledgeable. They should close their doors right now. I had one of the worst meals of my life on Saturday September 24, 2016. They only serve two types of Vodka can you believe it. We had appetizers and before we were finished they were bringing us our main meals, talk about being rushed. We asked for the manager who came to the table and made excuses. The waitress had an attitude and she made us wait for anything else we asked for. We were there to celebrate a friends Birthday the brought out the cake and we waited 15 minutes for coffee. What a great way to spend an evening over MLK holiday weekend. A great meal in January at this waterfront restaurant. Everything was perfect the food was delish Everybody at my table loved everything they ordered! The service right on point -attentive and professional . I will be returning to Louie's in the next couple weeks to try out some other items on the menu. I can't wait!!!

Louie's new chef has done a great job with the menu. Food is great and sitting right on Manhasset Bay is amazing. We spent a relaxing lunch there on a Monday. The ambiance was lovely and we had excellent service!! We split the whole branzino between the two of us and it was amazing. The menu is broad and there is something for just about everyone. Highly recommend.
Excellent food. Outstanding service. We got 18 oysters which were so fresh and yummy and the mignonette was perfect too! We also shared the fried seafood plate which was enough to feed two people comfortably and we asked to have the homemade potato chips instead of the sides that come with it.
They are getting by on location, location, location. The food is sub-par and the service is intermittent at best. The bar is INSANE and almost too crowded to get to the outdoor seating. No one should have to scream to get by the rude patrons drinking and sloshing at the bar.
I wanted to go here for steak but I was surprised when I went today to find they had a brunch menu. I had the smoked salmon plate. It’s was delish. I will be back for my steak. Place must be something when the weather breaks.

Mediocre service, waiters were always around and some were distracted. Food was nicely prepared and averagely good. However, I still rate Longhorn Steakhouse number one (even though it's a chain).
I can't praise Louis enough. It's a classy restaurant right on the waterfront with incredibly delicious food. The staff is very attentive.
