We are from Cincinnati and went to visit Chicago, we ate takeout at lou malnati supposed to be the best pizza in chicago, it was the worst pizza I ever tasted, maybe it’s good when it’s hot but cooled off slightly when we got back to our room. So we went on the quest to find a good pizza, we drove to several different places and finally found parking at Louisa’s. We definitely ordered the pizza pie and it has to be the best pizza i’ve ever tasted, the tomato sauce was the bomb, we had garlic bread with sauce first and knew we were in for a treat when we tasted that sauce. This is truly an italian gem and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else when in Chicago, just wish we had the sauce recipe...

The pizza is absolutely delicious! Our waiter was pleasant and welcoming! It's quickly become one of my pizza must haves! The only reason why I didn't offer a 5 star review is due to the other dishes I ordered while there. I had the Fettchnii Alfredo and the Italian cheese bread. All of it tasted nuked in a microwave (one item was even still cold in the middle, which was disappointing because their pizza taste like it's a classic family recipe). Overall, definitely worth the visit for my pizza lovers, not so much so for someone looking for tasty Italian dishes.

I grew up in New Jersey, where I developed a strong appreciation for pizza with a thin, crisp, and flavorful crust. Occasionally, I'd enjoy the thicker, puffy Sicilian style as a nice change of pace. Years later, I tried Chicago-style deep dish for the first time at Armand's in Washington, DC, and then at Pizzeria Uno in Chicago. I loved it because, after all, it's pizza!

This is a lovely establishment that has been run by the same family for many years. The owner greeted us personally, expressing gratitude for our visit. The lasagna was quite enjoyable, especially the noodles, which stood out as the highlight of the dish. However, I was not a fan of the salad. The prices were higher than I anticipated, and the service was rather slow. Book a table now

Nothing like fighting Dan Ryan traffic on a Saturday night. As our Suburban Excursion began, we crawled along the expressway feeling like the tires of our cars were stuck in the congealed cheese that topped the pizza at some of our less auspicious prior o

First time my wife and I went to Louisa's and we weren't disappointed. Very good deep dish pizza. Louisa's is not just a pizza place it also serves other Italian dishes. I didn't sample these dishes but saw them served and they looked fantastic.

The service was extremely poor, and I waited far too long for a simple order of spaghetti and meatballs. A meal like that should not take an hour and a half to arrive. Unfortunately, the pasta was quite disappointing after such a long wait.

Even though Louisa’s is on the South Side, they subscribe to the traditional Chicago-style pizza. Book a table now
