our last night in the opposite, so we went after dinner. we have already eaten in this opposite and had a great experience, unfortunately cannot be said with this restaurant. we got a table with a gentleman who was already on him because he hurried to finish his dessert so that we could sit. somewhat unpleasant. then it became quite clear that our English had put us on the back of the waiting queue, slowly ordering French, our waiter decided to move to the next table. the lamb we ordered was well cooked because my partner was pregnant, it came out as boiled as possible. she is not one for a deal of dingen so ate her fries and salat and left the flesh that an rude answer from the same waiter,...
On Uzès's lovely Place aux Herbes, I was delighted to get an outdoor table at the Café de l'Oustal. Promptly attended by an English speaking server, I ordered a glass of wine and a salad. The large salad of greens with pieces of sesame dusted chevre spread...on crusty bread was very tasty. But my main dish was never served. Nor did anyone come to fill my empty water glass or ask whether I'd like another glass of wine. I was ignored. I made increasingly obvious attempts to gain attention, all to no avail. It was at least a half hour after I noticed that I needed service before I finally went into the restaurant to pay, at which time two servers tried to assure me that there had been a mistake...
we came to the evening to the top du jour (lamb hacks with salat, kartoffel and sweet).) it was very delicious, and we could not resist tasting the caffe gourmand dessert, which was also good. our waiter was very friendly and helpful. his English was. something better than our terrible French, but he kept us entertaining and smiled all night. make sure where they sit in the evening: the rooks and starlings come to rust in the trees, so make sure they are under deck
Good restaurant with a great menu in a wonderful location. Staff were attentive and helpful, even though they were clearly extremely busy. Good variety of options on the menu, including great salads, lamb chops, mixed grill, and fish and chips. Good wined drinks menu too....Look forward to being able to go back.
