The first place my boyfriend and I stopped by in Paris for a snack. I got the hot chocolate and he got an espresso with a chocolate nutella muffin. The hot chocolate was AMAZING. No other hot chocolate on this entire trip could compare. Steamed milk with chocolate chunks melted into it and a little bit of cinnamon. Mmm.. I'm salivating just thinking of how good it is now! My boyfriend wasn't too big fan of the espresso, but he loved the nutella muffin! By far the worst experience I have had in any coffee shop in any country. Along with a number of other ways Channa chased us out, I had a really awful time ordering with him: he was being rude to the new barista he was teaching, he pedantically tried to clarify that I wanted a double shot instead of a single in all the drinks, and then (after he switched to English) he claimed that We don 't make lattes here. FIX YOUR MENU. Yes,...

Tucked away down an alleyway in the 2nd arr. For my fellow American tourists they do not have syrups but they will offer to go. I'd highly recommend sitting in however. Very comfortable seating and their pastries are to die for. The cinnamon roll was amazing and the orange cake even better so light and fresh and doesn't weigh you down. Service was great each time we came. Highly recommend!

A small and friendly hole-in-the-wall spot in a very busy part of the Marais. Wonderful cookies to go with your coffee or tea service. They also don't mind you popping out your laptop and continuing to work after you've finished, as long as you make room for others as the day continues.
