overall it’s just an average italian restaurant. i can’t give it more than 3 stars for 3 reasons: the price, the service and the smell. let me explain; the first thing you notice when you walk in is the odor. i’m not sure where it’s coming from or if the staff just don’t realize it but it smells like cat litter inside. like something died. i’m not even sure how to accurately describe it. secondly, the service could be better. i can’t tell who the owner or manager is because everyone is dressed the same. they need to work on that. also no one wears name tags so it’s hard to build any rapport. the blonde haired guy makes me nervous. he doesn’t really possess people skills and he needs to work...
Was visiting family who already love this restaurant and I can see why. We got to the restaurant (and for some reason there was a mix up with our reservation) BUT they were able to seat us right away ! And, they were pleasant about it! Either way Luca, a relative waited on us and gave us just the right direction in ordering appropriate meals for our flavor cravings that night. We shared a couple apps, and I had one of the special beet ravioli's with lamb unbelievable and just the right amount of food. We did bring our own wine but they do have a wine list. All in all our party of six was super satisfied with our apps, main courses, bread and desserts! Thanks!
This restaurant is my family’s go-to for any and all occasions. We celebrated our engagement here, the last date night as a family of two before our daughter arrived, and now when we get the chance for a date night, this is still our favorite place to go! The Marsala Arrosto and Figs Appetizer are impeccable every single time (my absolute favorite dishes). Recently, we enjoyed an appetizer special (pictured here) and it was amazing. I love that this restaurant is constantly changing up the specials. This is a place that makes their food with love and we will be coming here for many more years to come.
Luca’s Ristorante has become one of my absolute favorite dining locations throughout the years, the food consistently surpasses expectations in both flavor and presentation. The food was really salty. 4 Of us were having the same feeling. We asked for tap water, we were still served bottles and charged 8 dollars each. I ordered the special menu of that day, steak, its texture was like rubber band, was hard to be cut by knife, not to mention chewing it. Along with the steak was a bowl of paste, again, super salty ... My wife ordered scallops, that's right, so salty. We came the long way to NJ from PA to meet friends there. It was quite an impressive and expensive experience. 4 Person, 300 dollars.
This place was so good I decided to leave a review. I’ve never reviewed a restaurant before. I don’t bother. But the food was great, authentic, and the atmosphere so very inviting I just had to. My server was very kind and his recommendation of the Polypus (an octopus pasta dish) was very much to my liking. Check this place out.
This restaurant serves excellent and authentic Italian food. If you’ve been fortunate enough to travel to Italy, you will enjoy each detail from the atmosphere and the unique menu. We love the octopus and I almost always order the branzino.
The meatballs are truly grand and the tiramisu is by the book but the entrees didn't exactly sweep us off our feet. These are Manhattan prices (but obviously, jersey-sized) at 40 bucks a dish, I expected a tiny bit more, I guess.

This was first time eating here in awhile. We very happy with everything from service to the food. This was my first time having the veal parmigiana. It was great and will be on my list of items to eat here in the future.
