I was in town visiting my mom and wanted my husband, who is Colombian, to experience the unique cuisine and atmosphere of this hidden gem. Mom called ahead to make sure they would have some of her favorite, the spicy beef stew, and they made sure they had plenty for us. I ordered fried pork with coleslaw and plantains. What a surprise when they also brought an entire heaping plate of beans and rice. Delicious! The slaw was vinegary and very spicy served over lots of tender pieces of pork.
