I've sampled quite a number of the restaurants on Stanley St and had walked passed this one a number of times. The interior looks a bit try-hard trendy but without much substance but I decided to give it a go the other night. The thing that drew me in was the blue swimmer crabs croquettes that they had on their menu but as soon as I had sat down, they informed me that they did not have any tonight and had instead substituted it with a truffle oil and mushroom one - same price $5 - so I ordered that and a kuey teow. Mushroom croquette came out and it was small. Very small. It was basically a small button or field mushroom covered with cheese, breadcrumbs, some herbs and truffle oil. I cut i...

This place has been on my list of "must try" for so long and I finally got the chance to try it, located in the streets of Darlinghurst. As soon as we walked into the dining area which is nicely decorated with simplistic modern round lights, we were politely greeted by a waitstaff (she was exceptional all night, great recommendation and great service) and seated at our table. I do recommend booking a table for groups of 4 or more as seating does seem limited and this place does get booked out. We ordered quite a few dishes as the servings were small and great to share, the highlight of the night was definitely the the raw king salmon($19), the sweet and tangy lime dressing goes amazingly w...

Not too much to criticise here- the outside looks a bit run down, but once inside there is a industrial/warehouse feel. Was a tad cold for me, but I wasn't wearing a jumper under my coat. Our server was a gem- she was the only one on the floor, run off her feet with a mostly full place but still managed to make excellent recommendations and chat with the customers, remembering each dish we ordered long after plates were gone. We had the calamari- beautifully charcoal cooked and delicious sauce to accompany. I enjoyed the koah? Noodles- big serve and nicely flavoured. My mum had the fried drumsticks and said they were delicious but struggled to finish 3. Broccolini to accompany likewise delic...

I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, but the prices always held me back. When I saw it on dimmi's flash deal, I was thrilled! My first impression was that many of the dishes were more traditional than I had expected for an Asian fusion restaurant. The flavors were all amazing, but I was hoping for a bit more innovation, especially with the chow kwai tau. The standouts for me were the incredibly fresh oysters topped with shaved ice, the crispy fried tofu, and the grilled Katsu sandwich. The service was good and the atmosphere was relaxed, making it perfect for a night out with a friend. Overall, my belly was satisfied, but I probably wouldn't return without a deal.

Loved the squid ink cracker with scallops. The kingfish sashimi was also good, but a lot of places make a good kingfish sashimi. The mentaiko pasta was al dente but I prefer my scallops less cooked. The taro spyder cocktail was overpowered by yuzu and the taro went missing. The ABC2 dessert was smaller than I expected, the cendol in there was a mixed bag. Some were hard and disgusting to eat, and some were soft. I've had better ice kachang desserts. Personally, I didn't find anything spectacular here.

The restaurant has put together a wonderful selection of dishes for their "Vivid Banquet" menu, with a seamless flow from the kitchen. The showcase includes 3 courses and 7 dishes, all expertly curated. The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The fusion of flavors brings a fresh perspective to the iconic Stanley Street area. Book a table now
