I've sampled quite a number of the restaurants on Stanley St and had walked passed this one a number of times. The interior looks a bit try-hard trendy but without much substance but I decided to give it a go the other night. The thing that drew me in was the blue swimmer crabs croquettes that they had on their menu but as soon as I had sat down, they informed me that they did not have any tonight and had instead substituted it with a truffle oil and mushroom one - same price $5 - so I ordered that and a kuey teow. Mushroom croquette came out and it was small. Very small. It was basically a small button or field mushroom covered with cheese, breadcrumbs, some herbs and truffle oil. I cut i...

This place has been on my list of "must try" for so long and I finally got the chance to try it, located in the streets of Darlinghurst. As soon as we walked into the dining area which is nicely decorated with simplistic modern round lights, we were politely greeted by a waitstaff (she was exceptional all night, great recommendation and great service) and seated at our table. I do recommend booking a table for groups of 4 or more as seating does seem limited and this place does get booked out. We ordered quite a few dishes as the servings were small and great to share, the highlight of the night was definitely the the raw king salmon($19), the sweet and tangy lime dressing goes amazingly w...

Loved the squid ink cracker with scallops. The kingfish sashimi was also good, but a lot of places make a good kingfish sashimi. The mentaiko pasta was al dente but I prefer my scallops less cooked. The taro spyder cocktail was overpowered by yuzu and the taro went missing. The ABC2 dessert was smaller than I expected, the cendol in there was a mixed bag. Some were hard and disgusting to eat, and some were soft. I've had better ice kachang desserts. Personally, I didn't find anything spectacular here.
Find us on instagram: loveatfirstbite_aus This place is a great casual dining restaurant for malaysian and thai cuisine, we ordered their char kway teow and some chicken skewers which tasted delicious and authentic, they also do great desserts and cocktails! instagram.com
Excellent assembly of dishes curated for the "Vivid Banquet" with a well synchronised flow from the kitchen, in a showcase of 3 courses and 7 dishes. Warm service, great atmosphere, its fusion element breathes new life into the iconic Stanley Street precinct....

"I was satisfied with the food. Burgers are between $14.90 and $15.90. The drinks are more expensive than other places, and the free Wi-Fi is slow and stops working intermittently."
