We had lunch here because it's the oldest pub in Fredericton. We're not whisky drinkers but the bar is awesome and the selection of whiskys is excellent. My husband had one of the local brews and we ordered potato chip nachos (fresh fried potato chips covered with chopped tomatoes and green peppers served with a spicy remoulade sauce). They would have been better if fried a bit crisper and there had been some shredded cheese on top of the potatoes. We shared the nachos and an entree of fried whole belly clams with 1 piece of fried haddock and fries. The clams were wonderful...could have eaten many more but it was filling enough for 2 people. Not the best fried haddock we've had recently but...
We were attracted by the poster on the sidewalk, which indicated salmon rosy sauce, in special: it was missing a line to specify that it was a dish of pasta, we learned by ordering the dish; My wife didn't find any salmon in the pasta, but there was a lot of rosé sauce. At our request, the waitress assured that there was no onion in the accompanying salad. But there was one in the sauce on the pasta!For my part, I ordered a dish of bacon-coated scallops: it was of an airy and tasteless banality other than that of bacon.Heriously, there was a good choice of beers!
I have been here a few times and the food is always good. The patio is a nice touch and is very popular when there is good weather.This visit, my wife had the prawn and chorizo pasta with rose sauce. It was very tasty and came with a salad and garlic bread. I had a brie burger that had bacon, brie cheese, and some delicious mushrooms. I got a side of fries with it. The meal was very good and at this point, I can say that the food quality is very consistent across visits.
I had found this place through some pre trip research. When we came to it, we knew it had to be a gem because the patio was absolutely packed on a Monday night! The menu is great- lots of variety- and the drinks list is long as well. Our server was very pleasant and fast. Food was delicious! I recommend the fish cakes- best I've had in a long time Book a table now
We used to live in Fredericton but moved away 13 years ago. We were missing their nachos and stopped in on our trip home from the Maritimes. The same waitress who we used to have years ago was still there and has the best customer service. They also still have the best nachos in the country.
The Rogue is the best bar to eat at in the city of Fredericton. they have a good selection of Beers on tap both domestic and Craft and it is one of the best Whiskey bars in the World. food is very good and quick. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone
I'll keep this short and sweet, amazing service, amazing food, great selection of drinks and reasonable prices. You'll love it here even if your just grabbing lunch, I highly recommend the lunar to anyone.

The Rogue is a unique spot which also offers an outdoor patio . It has one of the largest Scotch menus in eastern Canada. A wonderful place to spend a few hours relaxing and socializing.
