I have been going to Lupi and Iris for the brunch flank steak for quite a while, and finally tried them out for dinner, which was disappointing. 2/3 of the entrees ordered at the table came out lukewarm. I ordered the Bavette Waygu steak cooked medium, and it came out rare and lukewarm. The manager came out with the remade steak and gave a quick sorry upon dropping the plate off. but the second steak was still lukewarm and the rest of the table had already finished their entrees by the time the second steak had arrived. When you’re charging $53 for a FLANK STEAK I would expect more than a quick “sorry” from a restaurant of this caliber that should be able to execute cooking a steak as reques...
Went to Lupi Iris on 8/19 and sat at a kitchen view high top table. Before any details, this might have been the best overall meal I have ever had from start to finish. Drink: Whistlepig Old Fashioned. Not the Wisconsin way but traditional and very good. Apps: Pork Belly 8.5/10 a little small but tasty. Just wished more sauce Ratatouille 10/10 Different but amazing. Set on focaccia with ricotta underneath Cavatelli 9.5/10 Great flavor with the Calabrian chilis. I have mixed feelings about this place . This is my third time coming to this place . It’s a nice modern restaurant. But I booked it with a large group of, a group of 4 and only two and always for an occasion and last was my anniversary. And always they want to seat us on the high chairs dining area by the bar and we object as always then they keep us waiting and they seat us in the dining area !!!!! I don’t understand that dining area in the front of their restaurant NO one want to set in it’s an expensive restaurant and nice food why on earth you have such tables !! Just change your decor to all be unified instead of apologising to customers and keeping them wait and go off your way !!! Or...
Was in town for a conference and this place was recommended by our hotel. The food, service and ambiance are absolutely excellent. I called ahead to ask about dietary restrictions and they made a reservation and noted it down. From being warmly welcomed in to the moment we left, the customer service was fantastic. Laura F. was our server and she was the absolute best. Her attention to detail was much appreciated. She explained every gluten free option they had and how their kitchen staff deals with dietary restrictions which made me feel extra comfortable about the dining experience. The young lady who seated us was great. But, our particular Server was NOT the most polite. We had to ask for bread and butter... then he said they couldn't remove the Mussels Scallops from my Pasta. Wanted Snapper, they didn't have that. I ended up only having a Salad. I have literally had better Customer Service at McDonald's, Chic Fil A, and Wendy's! To add insult to injury, when we were leaving although the Hostess apparently validated our ticket, clearly it was not because we still ended up paying $5.40 to leave the garage.
We sat at the chefs counter and did the tasting menu and had such an amazing experience! the staff was warm, friendly and funny. the food was sooo delicious and flavorful with flawless and fresh execution. our server CJ was genuine and helpful. The rest of the staff would smile and interact with us-shout out to Chance who made us laugh. and lastly special shout out to the kitchen who we got to watch work really hard! Thank yall for such a good time and looking forward to when we can come again! :
Ben was a great server! Corn flan-light, flavorful, and full of corn flavor. Corzetti Walnut cream pasta was so unique, tender, savory, salty, creamy. Wagyu Bavette steak and sole were delicious. Caramel pot de crème had a deep caramel flavor. I have been underwhelmed by restaurants in recent years. This dinner was spectacular from start to finish. I highly recommend Lupi and Iris. I could have eaten 3 corn flan and called it a day. I am so glad we chose Lupi and Iris for our anniversary..
Beautiful location! We had drinks here before a dinner reservation somewhere else. The staff was very friendly. We need to come back for dinner sometime. Book a table now
