Just wanted to write this review so that others may consider alternative venue when they are faced with the choice at a very difficult and sad time. This hotel gets plenty of business from nearby funeral directors I assume because of is location but they are uncompassionate, unprofessional and unconcerned about your experience. When we arrived after leaving the funeral directors to book the reception I stood waiting for a period of time to be attended to. Eventually an employee on his break went through and got a staff member. Visited here for afternoon tea with my work. The service was terrible, you had to chase the staff for service because after they gave us the meal they were no where to be seen and when we did get hold of them they took a ridiculous amount of time to get back to you that tea was cold. The food was not pleasant. Burnt scones, stale bread, cheesecake that can only be described as mush. When we complained the manager said we would need to complain to head office but never gave us correct info, he said he would deal with in straight away but it took days for someone to get back to us. Their reply was our staff would've been free to help if we asked even though it was stated staff were not availab...
Awful. They had 2 staff serving the whole restaurant, bar and an event while managers sat at a table in the restaurant doing nothing. Due to lack of staff wait times from drinks, orders and meals was very long. While waiting for our meal several neighbouring tables complained about cold food, no drink refills and people from the event were looking for staff to take orders. Overall it was very disappointing and not at all worth the money. Do not recommend.
My husband and I flew from the U.S. to Scotland in mid May. After a rest at the lovely hotel, we enjoyed cold beer on the outdoor patio when the sun unexpectedly made an appearance. After drinks, we went inside and had a delicious dinner. The service was exceptional, the food arrived in a timely manner and our meals were outstanding. The chicken tempura was super yummy. Nicholas, the bartender and waiter, was very attentive.

Went for some food today after not being to the lynnhust in quite sometime. Checked out the menu online seemed good. When we arrived the menu had changed and was very disappointing as I didn't really like much on the menu and had I of known I would have went somewhere with better options. On a possitve not the waiter today Cameron was amazing and is a credit to the company.
Always a nice place to have something to eat with the family. However, due to restrictions staff at a minimum, but the young girl who served us was excellent. There was a limited menu, but the food was top notch. We were presently surprised at the cost of the food and drink, as the bill was definitely less than expected. We will be back for more.
A very nice meal in lovely surroundings, made even better by friendly and helpful staff, especially young Ross. The soup was delicious followed by well presented fajitas with a good array of toppings. The wine selection is limited, though not unpleasant, and the coffee to finish was excellent. We would be very happy to return.
Four adults in party,one with gluten free requirement !!!! This was no problem for staff or chef to deal with,and four different meals were wonderful !!! Especially the fruit crumble !! Best we ever tasted !!! Honestly !!!

Went for the Sunday roast Very disappointing three shrivelled up burnt roast potatoes three small pieces of veg some gravy and two small pieces of roast beef for £17 wouldn't recommend
