Nice, clean and modern ambiance and decor. The waiter was friendly and helpful and provided quick and courteous service. They have a large TV showing the Food Network(volume off) which I thought was a nice touch. There are many interesting menu options for the mac and cheese or you can make your own custom bowl, which is what I did. I decided to combine feta cheese with gyro, red peppers and a sprinkle of panko with spicy seasoning. Best bowl of mac and cheese EVER! Beau décor. Menu original avec plusieurs choix de Mac'n'Cheese et de Grilled Cheese tous plus alléchant les uns des autres, le tout offert à prix raisonnable. En fait, tellement de choix qu'il m'a été très difficile de décider quoi prendre tellement il y en avait qui me tentait. Très emballé de l'endroit jusqu'à ce que l'assiette commandée arrive. Vraiment ordinaire, sans goût en raison d'un manque flagrant d'assaisonnement. Je ne suis pas un gros maniaque de sel,mais la, il me semble que c'était un gros manque pour le macaroni. Les portions sont toutefois copieuses. Le service laisse un peu à désirer (une personne de plus serait nécessaire). Bref, un "No Repeat" pour moi.
Went last night. The metal chairs in the winter time were FREEZING, I was cold my entire meal and we were seated all the way at the back! I ordered the classic mac and cheese. Didn't taste like cheddar cheese and I can't say there was enough melted, gooey cheese to make it the typical mac and cheese you'd have in your mind. Think of a pasta salad with mayonnaise--that was the amount of the cheese. The Sangria doesn't taste like sangria--tasted like petrol gas) and my waiter clearly didn't brush his teeth that morning cos he had morning breath when I was paying my bill at 10:30pm.

Yummy Mac and Cheese. Very good! I almost enjoyed the grilled cheese more than the Mac and Cheese. We did a build your own Mac and Cheese but I don't really recommend it. Their premade recipes already in the menu are much better and creamier. We took the Philly grilled cheese...it was a delight! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere!
Macbar is a spacious restaurant in downtown Montreal not far from the Gay village that specializes in mac and cheese dishes. I had the PhillyMac for lunch. It was tasty, large enough and served quickly. I was dining solo, and would love to come back and see what the grilled cheese sandwiches and burgers are like.
My husband and I shared one 2-course meal and the waiter didn't even mind! I expected that we would share off one plate, but he divided the meal into 2 plates and served us both beautifully. The food was very good. It was fun to watch the silent movie playing on the screen.
