I’ve Reece developed a gluten intolerance and found many places have limited gf choice. Macchiato offered gf for all their pizza and pasta dishes. I had a chicken funghi pizza and the base was gf. You couldn’t tell the difference. I read reviews saying their...gf was good but now I’ve tried it I can say that it was excellent. Waitress understood gf and chatted about other customers who had similar issues. I felt very reassured and not made to feel I was being awkward.
Macchiato is a pizza and cafe located on Liverpool Street in the CBD area of Sydney. The restaurant is quite roomy inside and also offers outdoor seating. The service was excellent and prompt. We stopped by for coffee and discovered it was a great spot for breakfast as well. The prices were reasonable and they offered a good selection on their breakfast menu. Unfortunately, there is no parking available at the restaurant.
We arrived with a group of 16 and were surprised to learn that the restaurant had lost its liquor license. We had to go to a nearby bottle shop and pay corkage. The food was enjoyable, the staff were friendly, and the service was good. However, it would have been appreciated to receive a call or email informing us of the situation beforehand. It is unclear why the restaurant lost its license in the first place.
We had a Capricciosa pizza (ham, mushrooms, olives, artichokes), and a Spinach and Avocado salad. Both dishes were delicious with very fresh ingredients, and the serving size was very generous (especially the Avocado). Above that, what delighted and impressed us the most was the really...friendly and responsive service. Would definitely come back again the next time we are in Sydney. Book a table now
Arrived with a group of 16 to find that they have lost their liquor licence AND we had to go to a bottle shop up the road and pay corkage. Food was good, staff are friendly and service good. However, it would have been nice...to get a call or an email to advise if the loss of the licence. And why did they lose it anyway??
We dropped in for lunch and quickly fell in love with the place and staff. Topped it off with the best meal we had while on holiday, so had to go back for another meal. This will be the first stop if we are ever...back in Sydney. Thank you to the staff and the crew at Macchiato for an enjoyable eat out experience.
The vegetarian options were pretty slim, and a little overpriced. The mushroom risotto however, was amazing, and mojito pretty good too. While service was a bit patchy, they made up for that with a magician, who definitely made the experience memorable. Looking forward to my next visit
The pizza at this restaurant was delicious, but the prosciutto was not up to par. The waitresses were friendly, but the service was not well organized. Usually, pizza is served after finishing the antipasto, not all at once. Book a table now
today's buger and chips was too salty！ The dish name call Macchiato Buger. My friend orded pasta was not tasty enough... Maybe never order again，but mud cake always perfect！！！pizza was beautiful！！
