Madeline's - Table reservation

Went there with my buddy not long ago. Our server was not bad, she was friendly and kept tabs on us to see if we were doing well. It was the other staff and the patrons that I was confused about. It seemed they must have been pretty racist, as my friend and I are both children of immigrants, so we aren’t the typical “white folk” that they’re probably used to seeing. Older white women, that’s all I can think of when I think back to my experience there. I recently went to Madeline's for brunch and had a very unpleasant experience. My friends had organized a surprise baby shower for me, but we were extremely disappointed with the service we received. The food was average and the staff was rude and showed signs of racism. Despite seeing other large groups being well taken care of in the same area, our predominantly female minority group was ignored. On March 19th, we tried the lobster bisque which was not hot enough and lacked sufficient lobster meat. However, the Madeline's Salad with grilled chicken was a generous portion, fresh, and well-seasoned. We appreciated the prompt service as we had a meeting to rush to. The waitress had a great attitude and attended to us efficiently. The warmth of the fireplace near our booth added a nice touch. We visited Madeline's for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. It was exactly what we were looking for - a nice place to dine. We were impressed and will definitely be going back again! The service, food, and atmosphere all scored a perfect 5 out of 5. The price per person for dinner was between $30-50.
