It's always a treat coming to Magnolia Bakery. I first fell in love with the bread pudding while in my undergrad and would often come here and pick up a container as a pick me up after finals. It's been a while since we've been back and the flavors are just as incredible as I remember. They also have a monthly special, this month is the cold brew one and it's delicious. I stopped by here after getting dinner with a friend. It was pretty busy with a lot of people but the line went by fast. I liked the interior of how open everything was and the display was very simple! They had a nice selection of cupcakes and cookies. You can also see the open kitchen/baking area. We got some cookies and a banana pudding. The pudding was so yummy! I would say the cake could be more moist but the sweetness level was perfect. The cookies were so delicious and were gone in seconds. I would definitely come back to try out more sweets!
I don't have high expectations for desserts, as pudding is usually quite simple to make. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty their banana pudding and cookies and cream were! If you're thinking about ordering a small size, I would suggest opting for a larger one instead, as the small is quite tiny—more like a child's portion. I'll definitely return for a bigger size next time. The cake looked delicious as well, and I plan to try that too. The decor is also very charming!
If you’re looking for the BEST bakery-made banana pudding- here it is!! The line is often long or out the door, however, that is a true testament to how DELICIOUS these desserts are! You will not be disappointed in the banana pudding.
