You can't go wrong with the baked goods from Maier's. I've tried everything from donuts and cakes to biscuits, coffee cakes, dinner rolls, bread, cupcakes, and hot dog and hamburger buns. The donuts are the best in the area! You can also place special orders for baked goods. I ordered French bread and a birthday cake, and my kids absolutely love visiting this place. It's great to support a local business!
It's hard to believe that it's been nearly 14 years since I moved away from my favorite bakery. When I lived in Glenview, I have fond memories of spending time there during my childhood, especially since it was just a stone's throw away from my family's business, Seven Brothers. Special ordered a strawberry whipped cream cake and it was fantastic. Light, not excessively sweet filling and real whipped cream, like homemade. Another order for a special occasion. Also best dough and bread.
