We stayed at Chateau Gontier overnight for our last night in France at the end of a great motorhome. After walking and driving around the city for some time looking for a good restaurant we were surprised to find this place on the back...the large park on the river where we were parked, 100m from our camper! The food, wine and service are the second to none and if you enjoy fine food we would highly recommend it. The two ladies in front of the house were friendly but inconspicuous and well copied with our horror French! We had the 46€ menu that preceded by wonderful appetizers and a Muse Bouch. The hotel is located on the amount of France's largest and premier beef auction market, the setting is really very cool. Once inside you are greeted by a luxurious flawless, while warm environment. The staff is amazing and Mt Marsollier come very attentive from the kitchen that makes the...rounds to chat with the guests several times. Then the food! Wow! Absolutely delicious and creative. The trio of the scallops was amazing starter. The riz de veaus the best I ever had. Our ordinary table had a lobster bowl in a large green cabbage. passing to Château-Gontier, we did not regret to stop at the golden calf at the Marsollier house. From the mouth to the coffee, everything was refined and of excellent quality. A nice setting, smiley welcome, professional and attentive service.A very good address to remember and to transmit to friends without moderation.Thank you to the leader and his team for this very good time.
We visited here to talk to the cook about providing catering for a function and were a little surprised about the setting BUT the food was amazing and the service very friendly. The food was so tasty and very well presented and there was a...few spins to normal dishes. Would definitely recommend and look forward to return.

Going with family to eat in this restaurant or the setting inside is nice not very noisy menus of very good quality and correct price. when at the reception there is nothing to say to you and listen. I highly recommend it.
