The Proprietors could not do more to create a memorable stay. The quiet en suite rooms are characteristic, with large shuttered windows overlooking the Dordogne river, very comfortable beds, quality linen. Superb breakfast freshly prepared each morning served on the pretty balcony in suitable weather. A fountain of knowledge offering info on exploring the region on foot, by cycle, train or car. The residence is ideally located by the bridge and church a minutes walk to local shops bars, and restaurants, and quiet canal cycle routes. Not our first stay here. Nous sommes restés 4 nuits chez Brian et Cheri qui sont des hôtes hors paire. Toujours prêts à vous être agréables, ils sont serviables, gentils et très attentionnés.|Ce Bed and Breakfast est très rustique, une vieille maison de maître retapée par les propriétaires néo-zélandais. Très bien tenu et propre, situé sur le bord de la Dordogne.|Le petit déjeuner continental est généreux et délicieux.|Toutefois, ne réservez pas par Booking.com car ils sont chers et ne font pas passer les demandes particulières tel que des lits jumeaux! Heureusement que j'avais téléphoné les propriétaires avant de venir, qui se sont démenés pour rectifier la situation.|Merci à Brian et Cheri.
Maison Porte Del Marty was recommended by Aquitaine Bikes and we can see why. This was our favourite stay in the Dordogne region. The historic river front property has been lovingly restored by owner operators, Brian and Cheri Hewitt and is grand yet homey, cozy and super comfortable. Brian and Cheri are warm and welcoming. Cheri's breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented. The croissants were fresh and warm served alongside a beautiful fresh fruit salad and yogurt. They welcomed us with a glass of wine from the deck overlooking the Dordogne. I loved my room overlooking the river with its gracious proportions and cushy bed. Highly recommend!
We spent a week here in July 2025. The experience has been stellar. The room is huge, the bed and bed linen are what you would expect from a 5 star hotel, the bathroom spotless. |Cherie and Brian are the most welcoming hosts. We had breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Dordogne River. Cherie serves the most wonderful breakfast. Fresh fruit salad with musli and yoghurt, crispy baguette and croissants, and delicious jams. We cannot recommend this bed and breakfast highly enough!

We had a super stay at this wonderful b and b. Cherie and Brian were very welcoming, gave us loads of ideas on where to visit and restaurant ideas too. Our room was super,nice and big.|Breakfast was wonderful and for a couple of the mornings we were there, ate on the terrace overlooking the Dordogne .|We would highly recommend.
O cazare minunata, cu o priveliste de vis spre raul Dordogne. Gazdele foarte primitoare si preocupate de bunastarea clientilor. Pe hol exista o zona cu frigider si preparare cafea/ceai. Micul dejun se poate servi pe terasa, daca vremea este frumoasa. Parcare gratuita vis a vis de casa, la biserica.
Cheri and Brian are exceptional hosts. Their B& B is amazing , so clean and above expectations! They are also very helpful assisting with any trips and knowledge of the area. |Cheri is a great cook and breakfasts are wonderful. |I highly recommend Maison Porte del Marty !
Seven cycling friends and I very much enjoyed our 2 night stay at Maison Porte del Marty in mid September, We were very pleased with our large, well furnished/decorated rooms which overlooked the Dordogne River, the breakfasts and the hospitality Brian and Cheri provided.
