Authentic, seasonal, inventive and extremely good food is to be had at this location. We found the staff to be really friendly and very very helpful. A total breath of fresh air in comparison to all the tourist traps just across the way in Saint Jean de Luz. Ciboure is lovely and if you eat at this establishment you even get to watch pilota which is a traditional basque game – there is a court right outside the bar. This is a true experience immersion with some tourists and also some genuine local people who live here. Highly recommended! Ps. A lovely wine list as well
Just had a fantastic evening in this bar..the best red wine I have had in along time. Loved the tapas snacks. But the best part of our experience was the bar man which unfortunately didn't get his name was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable on wine and food. Because of him we stayed much longer than planned. Highly recommended this bar.
It is a very pleasant little bistro next to the fronton. It is popular with locals at lunchtime – always a good sign – and the service is surprisingly quick. The menu is limited but the food is tasty and the prices are what one expects for such a bistro in a small town, with a friendly atmosphere.
