Always on the lookout for an Argentinian restaurant when I’m in a new city so I can feel close to home One of the best Argentinian restaurants I’ve been to outside of Buenos Aires. Get the provoleta (grilled cheese), Vacío (flank steak), entraña (skirt steak) meat melted in our mouths, fries were excellent, you will not be disappointed. Gracias a Malbec por hacerme sentir como en casa, esperando la próxima cena cuando vuelvo a DC!
Our server was fantastic and very attentive, but unfortunately, the food was just mediocre. We ordered empanadas as a starter and they didn't seem freshly made. They arrived quickly but were only warm and somewhat soggy. Additionally, when our main dishes were served, the mashed potatoes were cold—not just at room temperature, but actually cold. The rest of the food was decent, but overall, I didn't feel it was worth it.
One of the best steaks I've ever had. I ordered the Boneless ribeye and it was fantastic, edge to edge medium rare and perfect all the way through and really well seasoned. The provoleta with the house chimichurris was also fantastic and the service was onpoint. With most of the other steak options in the area being expensive chains, this was an amazing meal in a unique spot that wasn't super spendy. 10/10!
I visited this restaurant about five years ago and was absolutely thrilled with the food! Now, after five years, I returned for dinner and chose the same place without hesitation—and I certainly didn’t regret it! This restaurant is fantastic; their dishes are incredible! I highly recommend the grilled flank steak and provoletta cheese. Pair it with a Malbec, and you'll savor every single bite on your plate. Book a table now
I dined here this evening on their final day of business, and I feel bad for not supporting this small establishment sooner. Daniel and Fernando were the servers, and they did an outstanding job. I plan to leave with some merchandise, including a thermos with the Argentine flag, a mate cup, and alfajores.
I love this place! Definitely felt like I was in Buenos Aires! Even the bathroom felt familiar haha! From the salsa music in the background to the provoleta! The clerico was delicious, the meat de la parrilla of course was amazing, and the provoleta took me back!!! I’ll be back!
This was our first visit, and we were not disappointed. The empanadas were perfectly made and tasted amazing. We ordered the meat for two, along with fries and asparagus. Everything was well-seasoned and very good. The service was also excellent.
Malbec is a good Argentinian restaurant, it is not cheap but the portions are generous. The meat is cooked as requested and the desserts are good as well. Book a table now
Excellent food if you're into meat! Everyone loved it. I had the Oyster Rockefeller special and that was really underwhelming, but overall good meal.
