Wow, stopped in for a little late lunch, early afternoon, snack, salad, and burger… What a disappointment! Salad was warm, so proprietor informed us that the wait caused by the preparation time of my partner’s (very mediocre , hamburger delayed the arrival of the food causing my salad to warm unnaturally quickly. Did I mention that this was a tuna salad? Big no-no, even if tuna is from a can; which we all know it is. It should at least give the impression of some kind of refrigeration/freshness in total, especially as there are about five other ingredients in it for a typical Valencian (or regional tuna salad. These would be: lettuce, onions, olives (OK, they can be warm sometimes , carrots…...

I tried to enter this restaurant to place an order when I got to the main door an imposing waiter confronted me and told me I could not go in. I explained I wanted to place an order. He would not accept this and said I had come off the beach only to use the toilets. I again re-iterated that I had used this venue in March and would like to order food. He then became very intimidating and aggressive right in my face. I tried to speak to a woman who I think is the owner but she just ignored me. Waiter basically ignored us, and was otherwise rude, food took ages and they forgot one of the dishes, at any rate everything else was awful so just as well. One of the dishes was basically a deep fried sausage stuffed with mayo and ketchup. Which may have worked if we were Dutch or the sausage was nice. Which it was not. And managed to serve lacklustre tomatoes in June, in Spain which is in itself a feat. Just why..? This is the type of place that only stays in business cause new and stupid tourists land weekly. Their loss. We visit the Vila regularly but never again this place..! Such a shame as so many of the eateries are so nice and friendly.
Food was well cooked and, although it did not arrive all together, it was worth the wait. Not expensive and was better then one of the more ‘up market’ restaurants we visited. Staff were friendly would definitely recommend.
Shocking manner of speaking to customers. Never going back. I hate to write like this as i'm a waiter myself but your staff really upset our evening and you need to know good, luck with your business.
Best prawns ever! Lovely staff, overlooking a beautiful beach. What a sweet place, they were so welcoming! My hubby had the burger and said was really great too.
