my pork chop was white it doesn't look like it was cooked it looks like it was dipped in flour then straight to the plate they also gave me something I didn't order instead of just telling me they didn't have banana pudding and gave me back my money then the ghetto low life that answered the phone had the nerve to catch a attitude like I didn't just spend money on this **** sad thing is if this was white people or running this establishment I know the customer service would have been better truth hurts but I will never in my life support another black business from up North black people
The cornbread was over cooked the greens was under cooked and tasted burnt couldn't use the bathroom said they keep it locked cause people go in there to get high even tho I was a paying customer. Not a good choice too eat and way to expensive for the food and service I got not happy camper gross place the people that took my order and cooked looked like they was the people using the bathroom for the wrong reasons if you kno what I mean not recommend at all....
I placed my order for pork chops mac cheese and candy yams on Yelp the app. The app stated that my order was ready for pick up when my daughter arrived at the restaurant to pick up the food that was rude and was arguing with her about my order. She gave them the order confirmation number and he still refused to look it up. So, I go back to the restaurant (dirty rude) to get my food and they gave me everything but what I ordered. Never again!!
I was in need of black eyed peas for New Year's Day as I would be traveling. I visited the restaurant on the 30th hoping to purchase some, and the owner went out of their way to make them for me. I returned over 4 hours later and picked up 3 containers of the most delicious black eyed peas I have ever tasted in a restaurant. The restaurant may not have much ambiance, but the food certainly makes up for it!

Food is bomb and definitely what I was looking for. Only reason they got 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the cashier. He was kinda rude and I felt like he was rushing me. Plus it was my first time there so when i asked a few questions and he couldn't give me the answer I just ordered.

The staff is friendly, but some of the items I wanted to try, like the oxtails, were not available. The greens could have been cooked a bit longer, but overall the food was okay.
I love Mama's cooking, especially when it's my son in the kitchen preparing the food. The dishes are really delicious, and I appreciate the love and skill he puts into each meal.

Tastes almost like it was made at home. So fresh and flavorful. The portions are large enough for an adult and small child. Think of like a big plate at a barbeque.
