Mama Liz's Soul Food Shack

Dropped in here for a drink before heading for home. I wish we hadn't bothered. The staff were more interested with his mate sat at the bar. Finally we were served and sat down only to be interrupted by a foul mouthed young girls who took great delight in shouting and swearing at the people who were with her. She was told to be quiet for her to kick off again. Goodness knows what the people having a meal must have thought. Finally she was ushered out not by members of staff but her friends only for her to gob off at them once outside.

We visited Mama Liz for the first time recently to see Big Boy Bloater live and ate in the restaurant before heading down into the cellar for the gig. The food was great, ribs, nachos, chilli poppers were just a small selection of what we had. The bar was great too, décor was unique and the beer, first class.The cellar was an ideal location for live music and we all had a really good time. Definitely will be returning and now on their mailing list!

Took my wife to sample the soul food at Mama Liz in Stamford. My wife went for the Steak and I did the Fajitas. Enjoyed everything although 3 tortilla’s were never going to be enough to wrap all of the meat veggies and sauce!!Clean, tasty and reasonable value, gonna need five tortilla’s next time though!

Went late Saturday afternoon. Very quiet at the time but awesome looking place. Great music playing. Worst cocktails I 've ever had though. When I complained I was told it 's too warm . Too warm to make ice in 18° weather? I 'd expect it removed from menu/an alternative given.

went for lunch here it was amazing I will be jerk chicken was so good and kids loved there waffles and chicken best soul food I’ve eaten
