This fish and chip shop has been a favourite during all our visits back to Manning over the last 20 years. My family love getting our fish and chips here and we have no motivation to try anywhere else if we are within 10k of this plaice. The staff are very friendly and the portions are generous and very well cooked, the fish being lightly battered and crispy and the chips are crisp, not oily. If you are there in summer before nightfall walk up Ley St to MacDougall Park and enjoy your purchase there as dusk sets in.

The cooking area was spotless and the fish and chips were great - had a choice of shark as well as other fish, and small serves of chips, which were still plenty for two of us. Good range of other foods too. They even added an extra piece of fish in, above what we asked for.

My partner has celiac disease, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that our grilled fish was not cross-contaminated. The service was excellent; however, it was disappointing that there were no completely gluten-free chips available on the side.

The fish and chips at this restaurant are delicious, and the staff is friendly. The shop is very clean. I would definitely return here the next time I am in town.
