I and my husband visited the secret garden today. we asked about the afternoon, but they said they had to book, but the ladies kindly told us with him was calmer then usual, they would prepare it for us for any kind and wise that was beautiful. the afternoon was delicious. we ordered an extra latte and a milk, but when we came to pay the bill they didn't charge me for the extra drinks, I thought my man had paid for these seperate, but when my man mentioned the drinks, they said they classified it as refilling. excellent customer service and would highly recommend. they also have some nice gardens to sit when weather nice
the most beautiful little hidden caffe in the center of newark. really a secret garden! go through the art gallery to get to the caffe on the back. beautiful outside and inside seats. we enjoyed a nice hot drink while we saw the birds enjoy the bird food and the trees in the brise whistle. also very autism friendly, as there is a lot of space between the chairs and no loud music, so I did not find it overwhelming.
shhh, don't tell anyone! this place is a secret jewel in newark. I took my mother to the afternoon as tasty bites for her birthday and it was nice. it is gluten-free, as always this always problems wherever we go. but to avoid worrying, they made some beautiful gf sandwiches, cakes and even baked some gf scones fresh this morning! we were very impressed by the friendly service both becky and susannah gave.
Will definitely be returning to this lovely little place. Very impressed with the fresh food on offer, the service and especially the charming peaceful garden where we sat to have our lunch. Thanks to all the hard working staff on this busy Saturday afternoon
