As soon as you walk through the door, you will be greeted with a smile that will stay with you throughout your entire dining experience! Out of all the restaurants we have tried in Old Montreal, this one was by far the most enjoyable, and it was only for breakfast! I can only imagine how fantastic lunch or dinner would be here. The beautifully decorated small restaurant has a very French vibe, with meats, cheeses, and fresh veggies hanging all around. The French music playing in the background really sets the ambiance and makes you feel like you are dining in Paris. This place just brings pure joy to your face. The omelets were heavenly, filled with meats and cheeses, and the pastries were a...

We were in Montreal for 3 days and decided to check out this brunch location in Old Montreal. We ordered the chef's brunch special, the cheese plate, an omelette, coffee, latte and 2 glasses of milk for the kids (ages 3 and 6). The food was well presented, a bit greasy but otherwise tasted okay. The kids did not like anything we put on their plate (we had to buy them a second meal elsewhere). I have no problems paying $75 for brunch if it wasn't for the terrible service. The waitress with the tattoo around her arm was annoyed that we spoke English instead of French. There was water brought to every table but ours. No one come by to refill our coffee. With so many great places to eat and try...
I love charcuterie. Saw this place while walking in old Montréal and thought why not give it a try. GF ordered the chef's selection platter and I ordered the Assiette de la Villette - the charcuterie platter. GF's quiche and roasted potatoes were both very good. My charcuterie plate was hit and miss. The prosciutto was very good, as was the patty. However, the rest of my "assorted charcuterie" consisted of a few different salami's bought from a grocery store. Not the type of specialty stuff you would expect on your plate at a place claiming to be a charcuterie. Some of the décor was excellent and very "old tyme". But they also had plastic legs of ham hanging from various places in the ceilin...
We went here for breakfast a couple weeks ago. We started out as the first people to arrive and suddenly it was packed. Many tours stopped here and there was only one waiter working the floor and he seemed a bit overwhelmed. I ordered the western on a croissant and it was very good. My mother ordered the croissant with chocolate and she said it was very good as well. I'm happy we tried this place and I would return if I was ever in Montreal again. Book a table now
There are so many restaurants in Old Montreal, this one is a perfect place for lunch. You walked in this busy restaurant, immediately surrounded by a vibrant atmosphere, and delicious food smell. My husband had French onion soup. He said that the soup was the best he ever had, rich and tasty. I had a lunch special with beef, and was excellent also. If we were not so full, we would like to try their dessert, which looked so good.
Really a place for brunch or lunch if you want to have it French style. The exception was that a took a sandwich with Montreal smoked beef. Fantastic meat on a lousy baguette. Producing good French baguettes is not given to the Canadiens. Overall fast and good service, ok house wine, proper lunch food and a again if you want to have a French style lunch a good place to be.
I had a Salad Nicoise and it was very good. This place is very rustic and informal. There seemed to be a mix of patrons: suits, tourists, locals. I felt like it was a good find. Good service, not great; I had to ask three times for my wine.
A quiche and a green salad to go in April => 8$ The same quiche and a wilted green salad to go in July => 12.95$ 60% increase is an insult to the locals and the tourists! Book a table now
This restaurant resembles what you would find in Montmartre. The products, especially the charcuterie, are very good. Worth discovering.
I enjoyed the ambiance, the food, and the atmosphere. I highly recommend trying the mimosas and hot chocolate.
