Anniversary dinner with our two children, 8 and 10. We decided to sit out on the porch on a fairly humid June evening and the ceiling fans made for a nice breeze. We find most of the restaurants are overly air-conditioned, but Metro 8 didn't seem like a fridge even when we came in - that's a big plus for me! Our waitress was very nice and attentive without getting involved. She noted that it was nice to see kids with books (and math in our conversation) instead of iPads. The steaks my husband and I ordered were as advertised and delicious. So were the pages. Our girls loved their grilled chicken. Cocktails were good and just the right strength. Highly recommended.
Plan a last minute business lunch after reviewing the online reviews. We were not disappointed. From the provolenta (I think that was the name) and filled prawn appetizers to the delicious fillet and the spread for the rolls, our food was delicious. The owner was behind the bar and was very accommodating. I will definitely come back on my next visit to the area.
After my son graduated, we had dinner for 13 people. Cassie put us in the private dining room because it was too hot to be on the patio. The food and service were excellent. It was a wonderful cap for the day's events!

Ideal for Father's Day as the portions are large and hearty. Airy high ceilings. Music of the type 'Frank Sinatra'. Very pleasant.
