We ordered takeout and it took 20 minutes for our food, which included three burritos, two tacos, and a side of chips with salsa. The carne asada was poorly seasoned and consisted of large chunks of beef, quite different from any carne asada I've had before. It was odd that the tacos came with lettuce instead of cilantro. The burritos were quite large, and the prices were reasonable. Personally, I believe the chips and salsa should be included with the meal, as they cost about $3.75 plus tax. Overall, we were disappointed with the food; it didn't taste authentic at all.
I absolutely love Maria's Kitchen! Before she opened her store, she used to deliver, and we always enjoyed her food. Today, we went in and ordered two big burritos, and I really appreciate the way you can customize them to your liking, unlike some other places. The prices are very affordable, and the food is always delicious. I highly recommend Maria's Kitchen! Additionally, her salsa is the best—always fresh and flavorful!
Overall, my husband and our 16-year-old son enjoyed their burritos. However, it appeared they might have run out of pork, as one of the burritos contained a mix of pork and beef. It will likely be a long time before we consider ordering from this restaurant again, especially since they even charged me extra for hot sauce.
I work in Paradise and come here often on my lunch break. The food is amazing, I especially love the enchilada plate and the chicken flauta. The tamales are next level! Maria and her staff are so kind and welcoming. Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant, it’s a must try!

I've dined at almost every Mexican restaurant in Paradise and Chico, and this spot is among my favorites. The people here are wonderful, and they create truly exceptional dishes. If you enjoy Mexican cuisine, definitely give this place a chance! You won't be disappointed.
An absolute gem! This charming family-run restaurant offers delicious food. Everything is fresh, clean, and made from scratch. We tried the chicken enchiladas with verde sauce, flautas, chile relleno, tamale, and grilled chicken, and everything was excellent. Food: 5/5.
