Marinade was a pleasant surprise of fusion Korean! For a three person lunch, we ordered a spicy pork rice bowl, galbi panini, tteokbokki, and omu noodle to share. Spicy pork rice bowl does live up to its name of being spicy, but it's nothing compared to tteokbokki, which would be 4 out of 5 in terms of spicy compared to spicy pork's 3 out of 5. The King of Korean Fried Chicken! We ordered a 9-piece Crispy Fried Combo (spicy soy garlic sauce) and a Galbi Rice Bowl. The meat in the Galbi Rice Bowl was a little overcooked, but it was still good. The chicken was the best Korean chicken I've ever had--better than Bonchon. Marinade boasts a thin-crusted and less-greasy style of fried chicken. It's exactly like that. Crispy out side, juicy inside, and full of flavor. Great with beer. And the spicy soy garlic sauce had just the right amount of kick to it. Tasty coleslaw, too. The meal totally hit the spot after an afternoon of yard work.
We drive an hour to come here.imo, the best Korean style fried chicken in Northern Jersey.Forget those franchise ones, i.e. Bonchon and BBQ; They're not very good.Also, the service is much, much better now with the new, female owner.We found the previous owner and his staff to be very rude and didn't go back for awhile until the ownership change.Highly recommend.: 9 wings
Really liked the Korean Fried Chicken, and the Galbi rice bowl was also nice. Tried 2 of the sauces for the KFC , but wished I tried the third too. In the end the spicy sauce was probably the best, better than the two they gave as part of the KFC. Think this place is going places. Very nice presentation and ambiance of the restaurant which is unique.
