As a Mexican American, I have high expectations for Mexican food. I tried the 7 Mares soup and found it to be good, though it could use a bit more flavor. I appreciated the generous amount of seafood included. The service was excellent, and the restaurant has a charming, well-maintained atmosphere. This was my first visit, and I will definitely return. They also have a full bar, happy hour, and various specials from Monday to Friday.
The atmosphere is bright, modern, and clean. The service is good, although some staff members may have difficulty speaking English. The food, particularly the fish and seafood, is excellent. Their oysters are fresh and sweet. Prices are reasonable and below average. The main salsa has a robust flavor of tomato and onion. The chips are possibly the best I've ever had—warm and flaky.
The Mares soup was decent, a little too fishy like the fish wasn’t washed. But the enchiladas were amazing. Would definitely go back for the enchiladas and try something new too
Another Mexican place around Chicago, but this one is very worth it for the tacos and the whole fried fish, very very good Parking: The parking lot is in the same place. Book a table now
I absolutely love this restaurant! I've been a regular for quite some time now. The micheladas and langostinos are fantastic—they're truly delicious!
