Now Mark and Julie 's is under new ownership and I am happy that they have reopened... I do enjoy the new soft serve flavors they have especially the vegan options and so far every one of the staff members I 've interacted has been very friendly so that 's why I 'm giving them a 3/5.... but a few things to note... the hard ice creams have completely changed... definitely not as creamy as before... I was so disappointed to get my hard ice cream and it has a chalk like consistency... almost as if it is freezer burnt... (the way that happens is usually by using eggs and milk instead of a cream base)... Now I can 't be 100% certain but I have been told that since under new ownership they have ch...
We stopped by for frozen yogurt after waiting in a line to get inside on a Saturday night around 7:30pm. The tables were dirty and the floor was pretty bad/filthy. My husband walked out... would not eat there. Owners should pay for an additional person to clean the floors in eating area as well as in the working area. It was pretty bad. It felt unsanitary. Perception is reality. I won't be going there any time soon. I'm sure the ice cream is great but if you want soft serve/frozen yogurt go someplace else.
I only come here because it's close to home, but everytime I go there for a Reese's milkshake they always tell me they have no milk and I accept it...so I did say ok like this last time...until I saw the tie with the glasses making something with milk and she looked at me and put it back in the fridge...they take long and they were two young teens taking orders and preparing everyone's stuff taking very long...I don't recommend going to this cold stone
It's disappointing to see Mark and Julie's decline. The restaurant was really dirty; the tables were unclean, and the floors looked like they hadn't been washed in days. It was never like this before the new owners took over. The staff seemed unfriendly and lacked proper training. In the past, there was always an adult supervisor either in the back or up front to ensure everything ran smoothly. This might be a solution worth considering.

Looking for a new ice cream spot? Tryout Mark and Julie?s in West Orange. They offer fun flavors and have a very welcoming staff. Today we worked with their head chef Calvin and he was very helpful in deciding what flavor to try. His passion forcrafting ice cream is very known through his vast knowledge in the flavors offered at this location. I can?t wait to come back!
I got the soft serve cones for my family. The short white girl behind the counter rolled her eyes at my wife and was short with her instead of kindly answering the questions. My review is not necessarily for the ice cream as it was only soft serve and there isn't much variety in that. Just the attitude of this one girl.
The quality of the ice cream has significantly deteriorated under the new ownership. Mark Julie's used to have the best ice cream in the area, but now it's just average and overpriced like Geloti in Caldwell.
The ice cream here is fantastic, but the staff could be friendlier. A warm smile goes a long way in service. I tried the vanilla with crunchies, and it was velvety smooth and of excellent quality.

Great ice cream. I love this place. Always tastes fresh. The workers nice also. Only negative would be the parking.
Taste is good , place is packed. This place is under new management . Variety and taste remained almost the same .
