Exceptional good potato dishes, such as roasted (not deep roasted) and baked potatoes. I don't know a better place for that. The other dishes are all very hearty German dishes from the region as well as mostly good to very good. Great place for travellers to taste the cuisine from the region. Now the kicker comes when you're out, you wouldn't expect to find good food here as it's a football (FC Köln) club pub. So the atmosphere is a little shady. Another problem I would like to see is the smell from the baths, which sometimes finds it way into the dining room. It was also a pleasure for us to have a baggage here all evenings. Even the food served visibly and tastefully with love and heart must not be forgotten. I believe I speak for my whole group of travellers with whom I have eaten and drank 4 days every evening, that these evenings were also unmatched from the ambience! Thanks to this team working with heart and soul! For all just a recommendation!
We were not here for the first time and still it is top in the price performance ratio. Even the fact that it is very well visited shows that many people like to meet here. The atmosphere is a bit loud, but this is appropriate and expected to the place. The food was great as always, here you like to come back
Markusschänke is a popular meeting for lunch. It's very cheap. The food is plentiful and good. Hospitality is good and friendly for customers. I was there a few years ago, when the host invited all the princess guards of the cardinal with the princess couples. I recommend going there and tasting the dishes.
