Not sure why but when we came back this year everything was different. no more delicous freshly baked rolls. Seafood chowder that use to have everything in it now has only mistery fish and tiny shrimp that look like they came from a can.And the worst.... those were not sea scallops I paid market price for, you think people don't know the difference between scallops and cut up skatefish. Based on this I am not coming back and it's sad because I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years.
Ended up having seafood chowder and lobster bisque. I've eaten at most restaurants on the seacoast. Seafood chowder was not very flavorful, too thick on potatoes and a big disappointment compared to Gino's or Rays. The Lobster bisque had no pieces of lobster and another dissatisfied dish. I'm Picky on chowder. Most other tables were ordering fried food so perhaps if that's your thing it would be okay. Service and atmosphere were good.
good food, great batter on fried orders. hostess was as rude as could be- place was empty, and she wouldn 't seat wife and daughter because husband went to the bathroom. if 1/3 of your party isn 't here i can 't seat you and walked away. prob wrong industry for her to work in. i know they 're busy, and don 't need to be polite, but- could be anyway. ordered only chowder to go get a lobster roll at rays instead.
Food was outstanding. We were seated immediately around 4PM. 4 adults 2 children. Service was incredible. Prices very reasonable. Parking was challenge but we did ok. It's a typical summer seafood restaurant that hit home runs on food quality and service. Top of my favorite's list was the clam chowder followed by the lobster roll. Lobster rolls are served only cold with mayo that was just right. Book a table now
Without a doubt our favorite seafood place along the coast. The food is always good. I usually get fish and chips. The fish chowder is probably the best I have ever had. The parking lot is often full but there is parking along the road. Well worth a few extra steps.
Great chowder, good seafood pretty much all fried except... and a lobster sandwich in a round roll that was excellent. A somewhat claustrophobic but nautical space that is pleasant, good service, good list of unique drinks
Found this great during a coastal drive. So happy we stopped in for a bite and a cold one! The place was jumping, service was friendly, food was delicious and the bill was reasonable. Cant wait to return!
