I have been visiting this restaurant for many years because it has always been reliable in terms of value, quality, and service. However, I have noticed a decline in quality and consistency recently. The chips are now a different color (yellow) and seem to be of lower quality, the new staff members at the counter lack people skills when interacting with customers and taking orders, and the portion sizes have also become smaller. My advice would be to not change something that was already working well.
Wow, this restaurant serves the best fresh cooked fish and chips I've had in a long time. The staff is friendly, the shop is clean, and you can choose to eat in or take away. There are plenty of options to choose from and the prices are good. I fed 3 adults and 2 children with fish, chips, and crumbed sausages for under $30. Every bite was enjoyable and I will definitely be returning in the future. Great job to the staff and compliments to the chef!
Such a good feed! Seriously beautiful, the batter is nice and light and they actually leave the roe on the scallops. Everything cooked just right! Twice now we have got a huge feed for a great price from these guys and both times smashed it. I'm pretty fussy being a chef and kiwi, since working and travelling in that field I've only found three places Australia wide to recommend and these guys are one of them! Well done all and Thanks!
I recently had some fish and chips at my favorite spot in the area where I grew up. I hadn't been there in a while, but the taste was just as good as I remembered. It was my husband's first time trying it and he's picky, but even he said it was tasty. My 5-year-old daughter can't stop raving about how much she loves it - she's still munching on the chips as I write this. Thank you, Chef!

Lived in the area for 25 years and tried all the takeaway shops in the area. This is definitely the place to get your fish n chips. Always yummy and fresh, quick and easy with good service. I like to say hello to the pretty Asian lady too : Hi. Think I might go there now as writing this has made me feel like fish n chips lol
1st visit got $8 hot chips 3x Pluto pups it was ok honestly thought we would get more chips for $8. Cooked well no dramas there but need more.of that fish and chip shop value, it obvious your chips aren't high quality once again not a problem of cooked well and you get a good size serving that's all....gravy was yummy!
New to the area, tried a few different items. Everything was very nice except the fish, hence the 3 stars. Portions were good size. Well priced. Customer service was a little lacking. I may be old fashioned but I do like to be served with a smile and a thank you.
This place is amazing, everytime I eat here the staff are super kind, the food I order is always of amazing quality and quantity, my family always gets excited when I tell them we're having Marsden Fish N Chips

The prices are very good and food tastes nice. Great serving sizes. The only downfall is the chips, they are bit thin and on 3 occasions have ended up in the bin because they were hard
