We were in St Martin as a day tourer and have been lured by the well-sounding menu in the store. The drinks came fast and we ordered steaks and a salad plate. The waiting time for the food was too short for a few minutes (although it was in the case of a full-occupied house) as well as freshly prepared food. The salad plate doesn't even deserve this name a soup of cheapest finish dressing, into which you had dipped a few strips of iceberg salad and a few slices of tomatoes, with a sad slice of bread, probably packed by aldi. To our polite criticism that the salad does not meet our expectations, the friendly staff mentioned here often reacted by clearing our plates and insulting in the kitche...
We stood in front of the restaurant with many signposts, which scared us more than attracted us. And the Palatinate speciality wasn't there. However, a tourist recommended us the place and the randomly passing host said he had Pfälzer Saumagen. So we went in a bright, cozy guest room. We ordered: 2x potato soup, which had a light skin but had tasteful, with small potato and carrot pieces, well tasted. The Saumagen on Sauerkraut has kept my colleague very close. Then we would still have pork fillet with herbal butter and little, sick Franz. Pommes. Do not oversalt and without fat taste. The winery onion steak was a 300 g pork chip, not tough or dry. The onion glazed but not boiled, the sauce...
Even in a vegetarian-sounding dish in the case of Spätzle, it is not possible for a long time that there is still bacon in there. When I was charged, it was only cold-skinned that as a vegetarian, I was in duty to say that when ordering. I was advised to find the bacon out so others would do it. Overall, the whole ambience is not very appealing, even the appearance on the outside is rather scary. But we gave him a chance. If you have little claim and still want to spend money, you can return.
After a long hike from the Hambach Castle, the castle arrived thirsty. A Rieslingschorle (half litre as normal here) stopped the first thirst. Then the Palatinate Telle with sausage, liver dumplings and soaps with delicious onion sauce. Another quarter Riesling from St. Martin. Another nice conversation with the service that gave us a hiking recommendation. We are happy to come back in autumn.

We ate the homemade Palatinate Saumagen in this little restaurant. Absolutely delicious! You can only recommend.
