My partner and I have been coming from the beginning 'soft opening ' about 2 years ago*? We can always count on INCREDIBLE food. The flavours, presentation, and price points are spot on. My favourite dishes are the Yukgaejang (Spicy beef soup) , their Korean Fried Chicken (with spicy sauce) and all the lettuce wraps are all delicious with generous portions. Also the side dishes! yum. Their new menu is awesome and has information on some popular dishes which makes this place perfect for someone new to Korean cuisine. I really think there is something for every taste here. The staff are so friendly and always make us feel at home. I will continue to recommend Maru to everyone as my favourite s...

I wanted to try maru after it was recommended by a local Facebook group. there are four solid vegan options on the menu and we have tried three. the kfc korean fried cauliflower was really delicious and of those who are not in the regular fans of cauliflower. the dipping sauce was not too spicy for us and the spiced radishes were delicious. the dolsot bibimbap was hearty and really good with the chili sauce. enjoy it from the heated stone bowl is part of the fun, it would not be so pleasant if it was taken out. everyone at the table loved the Korean veggie pancake. it was thick, chewing and full of taste. I will definitely order again and hope that they will expand with some more options in...

Came here because we saw the vegan options on the menu. We ordered the KFC Korean fried chicken and tried all the sauce options on the side, Korean pancake the Dolsot bipbimbap. The Korean fried chicken was cauliflower, the coating was thick and super crispy. Our favorite sauce was the gochujang. It wasn’t spicy at all, it was more like a sweet Chili sauce. I’ve had bipbimbap before and this wasn’t too different. Our favorite dish out of all of them was the Korean pancake- it was SO yummy! Really thick, tons of veggies. Ultra crispy outside but soft and kinda chewy on the inside. REALLY delicious. We’d go back for the pancake.

We tried Maru for the first time last night and the food was amazing! Everything tasted unique and so flavourful. Anyone on the North Shore, you have to try this place, also well worth the trip from Vancouver (it's a quick walk from the Seabus).

My first time trying authentic Korean food was a great experience! The portions were very generous, so make sure to order carefully. The dishes had just the right amount of spice, perfect for those who enjoy spicy cuisine.
