MAS Tapas y Vino is a very nice, but fairly expensive place in Albuquerque. This restaurant has high aspirations but they are a bit hit and miss. Start with food. The food was very good and creative. The bread plate is the best $6 you can spend anywhere. The dates are phenomenal. The scallops and short rib were both solid but not perfect. The artichokes on the artichoke dish were cooked perfectly and there was a creative, pickled watermelon sauce but there was a bit too much of it. The drinks were solid and there is a creative wine list. We chose a corked bottle and did not send it back. We should have. That was our fault and may have colored the dinner a bit. The service is very uneven. We...

Overall, everything was good, but definitely was expecting more however that could have been because we dined in for breakfast and not actual tapas. The hotel (Hotel Andaluz Albuquerque, Curio Collection by Hilton) has a stunning lobby, that’sdefinitely a given. Breakfast was alright for the price and experience, but luckily was filling and still good. We had theLemon Ricotta pancakes and the New Yorker with sausage. There was definitely a difference in plating appeal that I was expectingin comparing the two together. Would want to go back for some actual tapas and drinks, but only had time in the morning duringour stay. Wait staff seemed to be newer, which is totally understandable now a da...
Food was good heavy meat focus. Chorizo on the mushrooms, ham with the shrimp, potatoes roasted in duck fat... As seafood vegetarians the kitchen was able to accommodate us, which was great. The portions seemed LARGE, I 'm used to tapas offering small bites, where the plate serves one or MAYBE two people. These could have easily been split three ways, so good value for the money. Service was great and the only reason for the energetic noise level was a live band in the lobby, which did not have the best acoustics.
My sister and I tried this place for the first time. We had the dates, scallops and bread plate. All were very good. For desert, we had the tres leches cake which was good except for overly sweet icing on top which I scraped off. Our server was awesome and the manager checked in on us as well. They gave us a huge booth which was nice. I do recommend staying away from the window in the winter. I draped my sweater over my shoulders with my back to the window and that made it perfectly comfortable. Book a table now
My friend and I had dinner there earlier this week, and it was fantastic. The tapas were exceptional, with the Brussels sprouts, gambas, and mezze platter being particularly delicious. Our server struck the perfect balance in attentiveness. Mas consistently delivers great experiences, and this visit was no different.
Dinner was wonderful and I was excited to enjoy Chef Quiñones' menu; especially the bone marrow. We were wonderfully pleased with the bacon wrapped dates and also the amuse bouche. It was a perfect birthday dinner. With an exceptional dessert of theeggnog tres leches cake.
Michael was our waiter, and he was outstanding with his recommendations! Everything there is amazing. He also took the time to share the history of the hotel and the rooftop, which was unfortunately closed. We’re definitely coming back!
Food was expensive and too salty. Service was efficient but just OK. The wine menu is too big and confusing. When eating tapas, I expect small bites but the portions we got were good for 4 people, with only 2 dining. Book a table now
Quality of food has definitely declined. Great drinks. Bartender Max is a true mixologist and very knowledgeable about cocktails wine.
Excellent food, service and overall experience. We will definitely be back!
