A great rustic french eating experience. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The fixed menu of soup, salad buffet, choice of main plates, cheese and desert, with a pichet of wine thrown in, is great value and the standard of the food is good. The sauteed Pork for main plate was wonderful. The soup and main plate dishes are served in sharing bowls and platters, plenty for everyone. The place was buzzing for Saturday lunch and the little bar was full of locals having a drink and conversation. It felt like a very comfortable local hangout. Cost for 4 people including a couple of beers was only 57 euros :
Sadly this restaurant has lost the plot. It used to be fantastic before covid. However, having been here twice since, the menu was poor, very poor. No longer the soup, salad bar, main course, cheese course, dessert, coffee and wine all in the price. I know “times have changed” but the miserable choice on offer today was boring to say the least. Noticed too, the lack of workers, who frequented this place. What happened to the two lady servers, they were brilliant, fast and efficient at feeding a packed restaurant. Ho hum! Have decided to finally give this place a thumbs down and wont be going again.
Brilliant value and always packed with locals (mainly male in overalls). Perhaps not the best place to bring a sophisticated diner but brilliant at what it does best. Good honest food at a great price.
You won't leave this restaurant hungry. Plenty to each for lunch. Think the owners may have changed since last we went as the service wasn't as good.
