On Saturday me and the mrs went for breakfast, from the minute we stepped in we was greeted and seated straight away and was offered a cuppa tea whilst we decided on what we wanted. As i am a fussy eater i kept asking questions and waiter was absolutely fantastic on answering my question and was even giving me alternatives to choose from which made me feel very welcome. Me and mrs both went for the big breakfast and made minor tweaks which wasn't a problem, as i was waiting for the food to come i was observing the restaurant and it was spotless !! We had previously visited this restaurant and enjoyed a well-cooked breakfast with attentive staff. However, our recent experience for lunch was not as pleasant. Although we were served quickly at first and the main course was fine, we were unable to order dessert despite the lack of busyness. The staff seemed to be actively ignoring us, making it impossible to place an order. This made us feel unwelcome, prompting us to give up and leave after 15 minutes. No one checked in to see if we were enjoying our meal. As quiet and polite customers, we were confused as to why we were treated in this manner. Our rating is solely based on the food.
We waited 45 mins for our food despite asking several times what was going on and then we noticed people were actually coming in after us and leaving, having been served and eaten before we had received our food. Their secret? Clearly they knew the staff and owners. I feel we were taken the pee out of and that’s not nice!
I stopped by for breakfast and was impressed with the variety and the quality of the food. I would definitely recommend checking it out. It has a cafeteria-style setup, but the delicious food makes it worth a visit.
