Matsui was highly recommended yet it was not the finest sushi experience I ever had. Customer service on our first visit varied depending on who was serving us. The male server who brought our appetizer was very courteous and friendly and corrected an error made by the server who took our orders. My husband was not thrilled at the tough texture of his chicken in his meal and didn't like how the female server disregarded me and did not put in the order for my appetizer but she did for his appetizer. We had dinner at Matsui for the first time and I was wowed by how great the sushi is here. I didn't know what to order, so I opted for the sushi dinner, which was a mix of different nigiri. Everything was excellent, especially the hamachi, salmon, ikura, and tuna. In fact, I am usually not thrilled with tuna unless it is blue fin, or toro, but the tuna here was super fresh and a splendid cut that was simply delicious. I recently dined at this delightful restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The food was impressive, earning a solid 4 out of 5. The sushi was fresh and flavorful, while the gyoza was perfectly cooked and delicious. The service was exceptional, receiving a perfect score of 5. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Incredible Everything here was amazing The service was swift and pleasant. Bulgogi buns were perfection. The buns were so soft and fluffy, and the flavor of the bulgogi was lovely. Sushi rolls were really good, especially the bulgogi roll, spicy salmon roll spicy yellowtail roll. The spicy miso ramen broth had a great flavor, and the noodles were cooked just right. So far, they are my favorite sushi restaurant in the DMV. The sushi is always fresh, and their sake belly (salmon belly) is the best in the area. Their karage chicken is delicious too; though, I wish they were crispier. Customer service is always great.
The food is delicious! The service is great and they were very helpful and attentive. The place is really cute and has parking! Would definitely come back and try more items on the menu.
