Went for Valentines dinner. Was booked for 7:45 and arrived on time with good intentions from all the things I heard and read. Credit to the chef as the food was very good, flavours crafted very cleverly so in that case was very impressed. Unfortunately being forgotten about and not getting our order taken until 1 hour and 20 minutes later and being told 'sorry we forgot you'. We then received the first two courses back to back to which the first course was not what we were told was on the set menu and then waited another 40 mins for the main. By now I would of walked out but lucky for them they made me pre-pay over the phone before arriving!!! Nice of them to give me two complimentary drin...

He got angry that we were only getting 3 desserts, there was 5 of us. He was angry that we wanted tap water instead of still or sparkling, he wouldn't take the order for a fancy dessert which we requested because he didn't have time to come to the table to do it. This particular dessert he had to make in front of us. My friends and I were intrigued so we wanted that one...

Ruined a well planned 90th birthday function.
Chose Maurizio's as we've had some good family functions in the past including Grandpa's 80th a decade ago.
While I can understand a busy place can sometimes struggle, this was beyond reasonable.
A 7:30 booking and a relatively simple menu of everyone having the same meal. Food was starting after 9:00 and main not till about 11:30 and it was pretty ordinary with our patron rushing around and just slapping it on the plates. Remember this is a 90th! A few of the guests are pretty senior here hence the early booking.
We had organised for the Restaurant to provide a birthday cake of significance to mark the special occasion.

The owner was rude!
My friends and I were very disappointed at the service here. The owner himself served us and he was incredibly rude! He told one of the waitresses to serve another table before us because we were only thee for dessert (we had called ahead and they said that would be fine).
Then when the owner came over to take our order, he told us he did not have time to make one of the desserts we ordered and then he stormed off when we asked for table water! He told the waitress not to serve us! We left after that appalling display.
Very unprofessional and rude behaviour! The restaurant was half empty, so I don't know what the service would be like on a busy night!

I am constantly impressed at the quality of food whenever we visit this restaurant - have been several times with friends and also to a couple of functions. Our last foray saw us dining on delicious seafood risotto, grilled scampi, pistachio crusted lamb racks and to-die-for creamy cinnamon semi Freddo. The only downside? It's pretty pricey compared to a lot of other places in Perth, but for the quality of the food I believe it's worth it. They sometimes have live Italian musicians on Saturday nights serenading the tables which makes for a really nice atmosphere and something unique for a change.
Valentines dinner was amazing - have not been here for a while and wondered why We've left it too long to return to this amazing restaurant - all four courses were fabulous in flavour and presentation as the ambience is the best - love that the owner goes around to the tables to check everyone is happy ????????

Have been there with my girlfriends on a very busy night. Lovely food and a great host. Had so much fun, and I'll go back again! The think that I liked the most was the personalised service and authenticity of it.
If they are on the menu go for the figs wrapped in prosciutto with blue cheese!
For first class silver service & a taste of Europe we highly recommend dining at maurizio. We are a fan of Valentine's Day dining, the menu & wine list is impressive.
