Happy Staff, Excellent Food. We visited Max Brenner on a busy Saturday night. Even though we had to wait a little while in the queue, the girl who served us (Gabrielle) was so peppy and happy that we forgot all about it. The wait in the queue hadn't helped us to decide for sure what to order, so we asked Gabrielle which she would choose and she was very enthusiastic about the whole menu, and very helpful by suggesting the addition of fruit and icecream to one of the two dishes we were tossing up between. After an arduous day of shopping throughout Carindale we decided to treat ourselves to some afternoon tea. We had heard a Max Brenner had opened in Carindale and went in search of it in the complex. Located not far from Yum Cha Cuisine, we headed in to check it out. . With a wide variety of chocolate selections including milkshakes, pastries and ice creams, we took our time making our order as we drooled at the menu. Having made our order we grabbed a table and ordered our food. The décor and setting was very familiar to its Southbank store. Simplistic, the bright colours and food themes was quite relaxing. Great food, sticky tables. Oh dear. First of all, not a big deal to me as I was there for the crepes which were amazing. Coffee was great too and everything arrived quickly. I can see others have complained about the state of the tables and it's obvious they prioritise food preparation and serving to table wiping. Their web team leaves a nice templated response saying how that's not their standard and they'll pass on the feedback to Carindale management. But obviously nothing has changed over the last year and one can assume nothing will change until new management is in place. If sticky tables are a problem for you then you might want to rethink eating here. Otherwise enjoy. I did!
Absolutely loved my cappuccino from this Max Brenner location! A generous size for the price $4.70), and amazing presentation. For the coffee alone I was really impressed; but the drizzled chocolate, and chocolate squares on the side was like a cherry on top! The other reviews below surprised me, as the service was super friendly and quick this evening. Will definitely be back for another coffee!

I'm not sure why their rating is so low. I went to this restaurant with my kids last month and we ordered coffee and waffles. It was delicious and the customer service was excellent as well.
Friendly efficient service, clean and great hot chocolate. A real treat. Also seating is spaced out so you can get in and access a table and chairs with a wheelie walker, as I observed.

Terrible. Very few customers due to the place being filthy. We ordered milk hot chocolates and one arrived in a dirty chipped cup.
I adore the waffles! It's the only thing I ever order when I visit this restaurant.
