I grew up in this neighborhood before the current owner, Joseph, took over the store. He's a pretty cool guy who basically watched me grow up. Unfortunately, I've realized that my money doesn't seem to matter anymore. I recently bought some plantain chips that were expired and paid two dollars in cash. When I kindly requested an exchange, he insisted they weren't expired. I pointed out the date on the bag and explained that the taste was definitely old and unpleasant. He dismissed my concerns. Because of this experience, I no longer intend to support his business or any establishment that shows such blatant disregard for loyal customers.
